Lose yourself in the vibrant cafes, boutiques, and art galleries that line the quaint streets of the UNESCO-listed Old Town.
The towns of Balapitiya and Weligama offer a multitude of adventures. Don a snorkel or hop on a boat to witness the incredible marine life that thrives just offshore, from colourful coral reefs to playful pods of dolphins.
The south coast is a haven for surfing, with world-class breaks found along the shores of Weligama. Beginners can take lessons and ride gentle waves, while experienced surfers can challenge themselves at famous surf spots.
No visit to this region would be complete without a journey into the untamed wilderness of Yala National Park.
